Navigo Découverte Travel Pass

What is Navigo Découverte

Navigo Découverte is a reusable card that tourists can purchase without French residency. Simply provide a passport-sized photo at a metro or RER ticket counter, pay the €5 card fee, and load a weekly or monthly pass for your chosen zones. The card is valid across the entire Île-de-France region, including central Paris, CDG and Orly airports, Disneyland Paris, and the Palace of Versailles. Swipe the card at every metro, RER, bus, or tram entry, and enjoy unlimited travel within your selected zones for the duration of your pass.

How to use

The Navigo Découverte card can be purchased at ticket counters in all Metro and RER stations, as well as at both CDG and Orly airports, for a one-time fee of €5.
Once you have the card, you can load it with a Day, Weekly, or Monthly Pass.

Please note: the weekly Navigo Découverte pass does not start on the day of purchase. It is valid only from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, which means it may not align with your travel dates. For greater flexibility—even though it can be slightly more expensive—the Paris Visite pass may be a better option for short trips or mid-week arrivals.

⚠️ Ticket inspectors are strict: if your card is missing a photo or your name, you may be fined €35–€50, even if the pass is fully paid and valid.
